As advised by Failte Ireland, these changes to dataset and API are complete now and now Discovery Points are available under the Attractions API.

Under the Tags column in CSV https://failteireland.azure-api.net/opendata-api/v1/attractions/csv or under tags on API - https://failteireland.azure-api.net/opendata-api/v1/attractions

Users can also use this filter to only retrieve Discovery Points from API https://failteireland.azure-api.net/opendata-api/v1/attractions?$filter=search.ismatch(%27Discovery%20Point%27,%27tags%27)
